Toll Brothers Takes A “Stand” Against Childhood Cancer
Last updated on December 17th, 2024
Who wants some ice cold lemonade?!?! That was the question of the day on June 11, 2016 when Toll Brothers’ divisions joined in the fight against childhood cancer by hosting their own lemonade stands and supporting the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. The stands were manned by homeowners, children from local schools, volunteers, and Toll employees. Several communities also provided special activities for the kids, such as moon bounces, face painting, and balloon animals, making it a fun event for the whole family. With their help, along with vendors, the local communities, and many other generous contributors, we raised our highest total to date… over $57,000!
The mission for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation is to simply raise money for and awareness of childhood cancer cause. The Foundation started with a lemonade stand in the front yard of 4-year old cancer patient Alexandra “Alex” Scott (1996-2004). Alex wanted to hold a lemonade stand to raise money to help find a cure for all children with cancer. Since she held that first stand, The Foundation has raised more than $120 million.
THANK YOU to all team members for making this year’s lemonade event our most successful one yet. With your help, The Foundation is ‘one cup’ closer to finding a cure for childhood cancer.
